Skyfox and Red 2

I decided to name the kids as follows for the summer:

  • The older one is Skyfox because she hangs out on the 3rd floor and nestles into her little den a lot. Also, it sounds cool.
  • The younger one is Red 2 because it kind of sounds like a wingman from Star Wars, and she has that vibe right now. Also, it sounds cool.

Red 2 named me Orangeballer because I was playing with an orange bouncy ball when she named me that. She later changed it to Bedhead when I was near a bed and have a head, I guess. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Here are Skyfox and Red 2 hanging out at a coffee shop. We went here because we could eat outside even on a rainy day. We had a great time joking around. They were roasting each other pretty good, as you can see from their faces.

Chillin’ Claire

I walked into my office today and found Claire totally chilling on my little office couch.

I just thought it was a cute pic and captured a nice moment of cuddly Claire doing her thing. ☺️

Corona #2

Claire is dealing with the *@&#*#&! coronavirus now too.

Here’s a quick photo to capture this historical moment (Claire’s doing fine). She’s been hanging out on the couch for about 48 hours. A milkshake and some chicken soup are helping with the recovery.

The frog hat (from her sister for her birthday) isn’t just glamorous but is also is reported to “actually” make Claire feel better. ☺️

Molly, who tested positive a couple of days ago, is currently doing cartwheels around the living room. I guess she’s feeling better. πŸ€ΈπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

As a side note, Claire thought it was funny that while we were watching Demon Slayer, there was a “COVID-19 Testing” broswer tab open in the background. πŸ˜‚

Quarantine Bedroom Prep (Time Lapse)

Molly was exposed to the virus at school and tested positive, so we needed to separate her from her sister. Molly immediately volunteered to set up a temporary bedroom in my office. So I pulled out my little office futon and threw some sheets on it. I told Molly to let me know if she needed anything else and went downstairs.

Half an hour later, Molly came down and showed me this video, which she recorded and edited on her iPhone. ☺️.

Notice how Molly calls the futon a “slidable couch.” πŸ˜†

Molly plans to do her remote schooling in here too, so she got herself all set up for that as well. All indications are that she’s fully camped in my office and not planning to move out any time soon. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Fidget Spinner

Molly has been enjoying her new fidget spinner, which was a birthday party favor. Β For some reason, she decided to lay down on the carpet and spin the spinner on her forehead. Β I couldn’t resist but get some photos of the adorable expression on her face.

Sleeping in silly

This was one of those great Saturday mornings when the kids slept in, and Kit and I were able to just dose until 7:30 or 8:00. Eventually we heard the tell-tale giggling from the girls’ room. The girls were certainly together in Molly’s crib having their weekend-morning wake-up fun. When we finally walked into their room, this is what we found.

Somehow Claire had convinced, or Molly had asked, to be put into the Annie costume. Luckily, Molly looked much more happy in the oversized costume than Claire did when she first got it for her fifth birthday. Another morning the girls followed a similar drill, but that time Molly’s crib was piled high with every stuffed animal in the room. I can’t wait to see what the come up with next.
